Food & Drink/Menus

Locally sourced wherever possible, we specialise in quality, home cooked fayre, from hearty Sunday Roasts (with a choice of three meats) to traditional dishes such as liver and bacon and fish and chips.

While our menus change regularly according to the seasons and the availability of ingredients, here are some examples dishes from our.

5 option vegetarian menu also available.

Sample Menu:

Steak & Kidney Pie
Succulent chunks of prime steak and kidney in a rich gravy with crisp shortcrust pastry, served with butter mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables or chips and peas.

Fish and Chips
Prime Cod fillet (or haddock or plaice or skate) encased in light batter or grilled, served with chips and peas.

Liver & Bacon
Casseroled lambs liver served with new potatoes and peas and carrots.

Apple Pie
Local apples encased in shortcrust pastry.
Served warm with a choice of fresh cream, hot custard or ice cream.

Spotted Dick and Custard
Traditional steamed pudding with juicy raisins and sultanas, served with custard.

The above sample menu is taken from our extensive selection of over forty dishes.

We are pleased to offer reduced price and portions on some meals for lighter eaters or those in search of a small lunch. Vegetarian selection of at least five dishes available at all times.
